A message from Cooke-Peavy’s Junior Past Master

On behalf of the Officers and Members of Cooke-Peavy Lodge No. 1162, I would like to welcome you to our website. We have updated and expanded the website and have plans to expand our web presence further during this coming year. We invite you to visit us often and follow us on Twitter as well.

As I end my term in the EAST, we find ourselves with continuing opportunity to continue the work begun by Past Master Robert E. Franklin. Masonry has a renewed presence among the general population, is of increased interest to younger men across the country and in Tarrant County and we have an excellent cadre of Junior and Senior officers. It is our goal to accomplish two things — first, attract new and younger members; and second, to work and develop those who have stepped up to help lead Cooke-Peavy 1162.

In the tradition of the pioneering spirit of PGM and PM Stephen Cooke, who was instrumental in bringing together the Fort Worth Masonic bodies in the 1920’s with the vision of building the Masonic Temple we occupy we are looking for the next phase in the Lodge’s history.

Please let me extend to you my personal invitation to visit our lodge at your every opportunity as we continue the traditions of meeting in the Lodgeroom and Temple building that was the genius of one of our namesakes.

Fraternally,
Bruce W. Hammond
Junior Past Master
